Environment Care Mission

Advance Agro has put its best effort to establish a  policy emphasizing in the filed of environment management. Not only does AA practice the environmental management with international management, it’s also engages in many campaign promoting about environment; moreover, we have been rewarded with many significant certifications in the field of environmental conservation.

Use Plantation Trees

Since the establishment of Advance Agro Holding Co. Ltd., Sun Hua Seng has made every effort to research and develop plants from all over the world and finally we found a fast-growing plant which fit for planting in the climate in Thailand and can be planted on empty space or around the plantation areas. This creates a new career for Thai farmers. Now, we have already 200,000 families of Thai farmers who have become part of our project and they can develop our project into a permanent agricultural industry in Thailand. We produce our raw materials from planted woods which meet the production requirement of the factory and we are not like other manufacturers fro mother countries who need to get the supply from natural forest.

AA Uses Water from a Constructed Reservoir

AA uses water from its own constructed reservoir to contain overflow water during rainy seasons to keep for factory mills without sharing the public water resources. Our reservoir called “Emerald Lake” was first build in 1991 and finished within 1995 with the investment over 400 million baths within the area of 1,200 rai obtaining the capacity of 36 cubic meters for the adequate amount of the factories’ consumption in the industrial park.

Modern Water Treatment System Compatible with Scandinavian Standards

AA treats contaminated water with biological treatment system, which has bacteria digestion process compatible with Scandinavian standards in the following processes of treatment:

  • Preliminary water treatment: firstly, all waste water will be regulated through golden sieve to separate all dirtiness such as pieces of woods. Secondly, the filtered water will be flew towards mixing pod in order to adjust the degree of alkaline to be fit for bacteria operation and to be easy for pulp precipitation. The temperature will be adjusted and substance will be added such as Urea Phosphate to increase the bacteria’s efficient capability to digest the contaminated materials in water.
  • Water treatment with air accumulation:  the filtered water in the first process will be delivered to air accumulation pond which offer underwater air-accumulated the level that can digest contaminated substances in water until the dirtiness degree in the wastewater is exhausted. Then, the processed water will be regulated to sediment tank to separate dregs from water and produce clean water which has BOD and COD levels compatible with the standards regulated by the Factory Bureau.

Moreover, AA uses this treated water to supply water to our yard in the factory and we have a project to offer this water for all factories in the 304 industrial zones nearby to decrease the usage of tap water which is expensive.

Low Water Consumption in Dry Process

In the process of wood chip, Advance Agro specially applies dry process to peel off wood bark. This process does not require immersing woods before peeling and can reduce the amount of wastewater from the process.

Apply the Lowest Water Consumption for Blenching Pulp Process

Advance Agro applies a modern technology in blenching process to spend only 6-7 cubic meters per ton of pulp while other general factory consume over 60 cubic meter per ton o pulp.

Blenching System with ECF

The most recent system of blenching process with ECF or Elementary Chlorine Free is the method without the application of Chlorine gas and it does not produce dioxin during the process.

Wastes Utilization

All wastes during the functional production including wood barks and chips which is not in standard sizes, used water contaminated with Lignin from boiling process and sludge from effluent treatment will be applied for the fuel to produce electricity and steam for overall production process and supply to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand within SPP project. Carbon Dioxide from Power and Recovery Plant will be used to produce PCC or Precipitated Calcium Carbonate in order to reuse as the element substance in increasing the quality of paper during production process.

Recycling System for Chemical Substances

To bring water from boiling process to generate electricity, there is a process of recycling the reagents used in boiling pulp. The chemical boiled as fuel will create the liquid which is brought to react with Calcium Carbonate and this generate the recycling usage of the chemical used for boiling pulp.

AA also recycles Calcium Carbonate by during the reaction; limestone is produced and burned in the kiln.

Quality of Air

The smell produced during boiling process will be exterminated by the method to boil in the limestone and recovery boilers; moreover, there is another substitute of torch burner. In Pulp Mill 2there is an increase of burning process called Quench System which uses the smell as fuel by transforming the smell into Methanol which is flammable and used in burning all smell production. Flare System also is another alternate system which will work in place of Quench System when it is out of order.

Dust will be exterminated by Electro Static Precipitator (ESP) with the capability to detain 99% of dust and AA also provides maintenance team to operate the machine within 24 hours.

Quality of Noise

Noise produced from the production machinery in Wood Chip Plant can be measured to 60 decibels which is lower than the normal standard rate set y Ministery of Industrial; therefore, there is no effects and harms of noise towards our employees and public community around the factory mills.
